About

Hello, my name is Andrew and I am a writer and webmaster. After many starts, doubts and nearly complete abandonment I have decided to start blogging again. I have spent the bulk of my time online making money, but I now feel it is about time to write what comes to my mind, regardless of the outcome. Here I go.

By the way, this I initially had the intent to write about fiction/nonfiction/screenwriting MFA programs, but never got around to it. Time will tell if I get around to at least exploring at least the various California MFA programs.

The benefits of reading this blog are numerous:

  • Have a laugh at the expense of a hardened veteran. Opinions are like…and I’ve got plenty.
  • Seriously, learn from a WordPress guy, about WordPress and blogging. I’ve been blogging since April of 2006, and am a self-taught web designer going back to early 2005.
  • I own three Akitas and have been married since 2005. Dogs and marriage are, after all, enough to qualify anyone, right?
  • Find honest information about MFA programs. Wait, this benefit is an old one, but worth considering.
  • Gain valuable insight by listening to audio podcasts with authors, teachers, admissions counselors and other people in the literary world. Still a possibility.

Who Is Andrew:

I recently graduated with a creative writing degree from Pitzer College (incredible school by the way) at the tender age of 34. I returned to school in 2008 with renewed motivation to improve my writing, and in the process figured out I was serious about writing. This journey brought me to a place where I saw an MFA in my future, and reinvigorated the writing bug buried deep inside. Now that I have given you a peek into my heart and soul I hope you are happy.
